We couldn’t have asked for a better way to close out our 2011 wedding season.  Nicole and Alex’s wedding was held the University Club, high atop the Ramsey Hill on St. Paul’s historic Summit Avenue.  Alex is a helicopter pilot for the U.S. Military, and with these two now living in Texas, we’d have to say that they lucked out with the last 60+ degree day of the Minnesota year…in mid-November to boot!  This picturesque wedding featured several details which were hand-made by the bride. Nicole’s gift to her guests were some charming soaps which she made herself. The floral arrangements and feather broaches, which Nicole gave to her bridesmaids, were also handcrafted.

Nicole + Alex, thanks for having us as part of your wedding day!

Here’s a quick preview of Vanessa + NIck’s engagement photos with their dog, Goose!  We spent a quiet fall Sunday morning with these two (along with their dog, Goose(!)) in Nick’s hometown of Chaska, MN. We’re looking forward to photographing their wedding next season at Olympic Hills!

Shannon + Noah’s wedding was hosted at one of our new favorite venues, the 413 on Wacouta.  The detailing of Shannon’s dress, from Priscilla of Boston, was thoughtfully reflected in the cake design by Chef Robin Martin at Gateaux Inc.  And, in case you hadn’t noticed, Shannon + Noah are dog people to the bone (elbow nudge, eyebrow raise)!  Their cake topping dog is an ode to their dog, Sadie, who was also their ring bearer.  Gateaux, Inc. donates their fee for creating these marzipan pups to the Humane Society.

Congrats Shannon + Noah!

Emily + Tracy’s wedding was. by far, one of our favorite weddings to photograph this season.  Emily works as an analyst, Tracy is a microscopist with a penchant for cameras, and together they’re foodies – so we had lots to talk about!  In addition to these two being such a lovely and eloquent couple, check out their details, flawlessly executed with the help of Gretchen Culver over at Rocket Science Weddings… Emily + Tracy’s graphic concept for their invitations, table cards, and menus was designed by Tracy himself.  The reception hall at Columbia Manor was dotted with large illuminated beakers and graduated cylinders.  True to their classic inspired theme, music was provided by the Twin Cities Hot Club, a quintet modeled after the French Gypsy Jazz stylings of Django Reinhardt’s Hot Club de France.

Here’s a few detail notes for they guys out there… Emily + Tracy’s wedding ride was a well loved, albeit very rare, 1951 Kaiser Special 226.  This inline-6 powered classic gets 25+ miles per gallon.  That’s more mpg’s than most modern cars!  And, fellas, check out Tracy’s derby hat, thoughtfully chosen for him by the gentlemen at Heimie’s Haberdashery.  If you’re going to wear a hat, this is how it’s done right!  There’s more to the right hat than reaching for the nearest black fedora.

And, lastly, one final detail… Tracy + Emily’s guestbook was Tracy’s vintage and perfectly functional Mac Classic.  While this computer is over twenty years old, Tracy showed us how it is still able to connect to the web!  This detail was near and dear to us at Camera Love as we’re proudly built on, and powered by, Apple.  We wouldn’t have it any other way!

Emily + Tracy, we’re happy to have met you two!  See you at the Farmers Market!

Taryn + Matt’s wedding was held on a perfect fall day in Stillwater, Minnesota.  While we’ve shot several large weddings, this was (by far) the largest wedding we’ve ever photographed!  The sheer number of people in attendance was a testament to Taryn + Matt’s outgoing and well loved personalities.  Check out the cake toppers which were handmade from clay by Taryn’s sister, Miranda.  Congrats, you two!
